Partnership for Growth specialises in:
Anxiety and depression
We help find the ‘root’ cause of your distress, using evidence-based techniques to manage emotions and complexities that manifest in our everyday lives.
Explore communication, values, meanings and expectations using evidence-based strategies in raising awareness that bring about change.
Explore ‘Why we need to always be right’, using practical solutions in a focused way to resolve conflict. And in doing so, explore strategies that are more workable.
Family conflict and trauma
Families of various combinations are where we learn and develop a sense of our self and our belonging, during our early years and beyond. As we gain a stronger awareness of who we are and what’s important to us, we may find ourselves in conflict to what we have been taught, led to believe or observed within our families. The opportunity to explore this in an environment that is caring and non- judgemental allows for insight and an awareness to emerge. So you are able to manage and navigate these challenges with a new perspective.
Grief and bereavement
Whilst grief and bereavement is normally associated with the loss of loved one. It can also overcome you over the loss of work, status, friendships, relationships, transitioning to another town or country, or a traumatic event. The feelings of emptiness, sadness and loneliness may surface unexpectedly. My counselling approach is to help you to make sense of those feelings and find ways to manage your emotions so your life can remain on track.
Professional Life Coaching
Coaching can compliment the counselling experience. However it can also stand alone, with many people benefitting from professional coaching without the need for counselling. Coaching can be a ‘goal’ related activity, or supporting someone who is anxious about public speaking, not performing well at work or stuck in a project they can’t seem to get going.
Partnership For Growth has helped many clients unlock their potential or come to realise how their communication skills can affect those they influence. We provide great coaching with integrity, accountability, and measurable results.
Employment Assistance Program (EAP)
An increasing number of progressive employers are recognising in order to enhance the performance and well being of their employees. It is important that they provide EAP services that focus on mental health and support, particularly when family, personal, or work issues are impacting on health and quality of life. Partnership for growth provides this support to employers, and also present workshops around managing stress and anxiety. Please call 0401 503 999 for more information.
What to expect from us
Counselling can be life changing, rewarding and inspirational it can also be a scary place full of ambivalence and upsets. We don’t believe that the ‘no pain no gain’ philosophy is integral to the counselling experience… It doesn’t have to get worse before it gets better.
Whilst issues that are confronting may emerge during the counselling or coaching process, it should also be liberating engaging, rewarding and inspiring.
Audrey’s role is to support you through these changes in an environment that is safe and confidential. And help you make the connection between ways of thinking and behaviour that you may have struggled with in the past.
Yes, our practice also offers Medicare Rebates, you will need to see your GP for a Mental Health Plan. This entitles you to a rebate of 10 sessions per calendar year, so be sure to bring your details with you to your sessions.
